Ride With Confidence
Many horseback riding facilities have lower weight limits, which can make it difficult for some riders to find a place to ride. With our large, strong Percheron draft horses, we are able to accommodate riders up to 350 lbs. Our goal is to make horseback riding an option for more people, including those who may have been turned away elsewhere.

Welcome to The Farm of Chi! We're a family-owned farm nestled in the beautiful countryside of Morriston, Florida, where every ride is private, personal, and designed to help you slow down and reconnect with nature. Whether it's your very first time on a horse or you're getting back in the saddle after years away, our calm, gentle horses and experienced guides will make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Our trails take you through peaceful country roads or the natural beauty Goethe State Forest where you'll experience Florida the way few people ever doāfrom horseback. We believe horseback riding is more than just an activity; it's a chance to unplug, breathe fresh air, and create memories you'll never forget.
We proudly welcome beginners, families, couples, solo riders, and even larger riders with our gentle Percheron draft horses. Every ride is tailored to your group, so you'll never be mixed with strangers.

Important Policies
Please review our policies before booking your ride.
Deposits & Payments
- All rides must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Your reservation is not confirmed until payment has been received.
- All payments are non-refundable.
- Because we reserve horses, guides, and time specifically for your party, we cannot issue refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals.
Weather Policy
- We ride rain or shine whenever it is safe to do so.
- Weather decisions are based only on conditions at our farm, not the weather where you live.
- If we determine that weather conditions at the farm are unsafe for riding, we will gladly reschedule your ride at no additional charge.
- Light rain or passing showers may not result in cancellation.
Rescheduling
- You may reschedule your ride with at least 48 hoursā notice, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hoursā notice are not guaranteed and may result in forfeiture of your payment.
- Rescheduled rides must be used within 90 days of the original booking date.
Late Arrivals
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride.
- Late arrivals may receive a shortened ride to avoid delaying other guests.
- Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show and will forfeit their reservation.
- No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Group Bookings
- If part of your group does not attend, payment for those riders is still required.
- We are unable to issue refunds for unused spots.
Safety
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or behaves in an unsafe or disrespectful manner.
- No refunds will be issued if a guest is refused service for safety reasons.
Horse & Guide Safety
- The safety of our horses, staff, and guests is our highest priority. Our guides make all final decisions regarding weather, trail conditions, and rider safety.
- Weight limit: Riders over 350 lbs cannot ride due to horse safety.
- Age limit: Children under 10 years old cannot ride.
- They can however sign up for our 30min ride on Winston
- Closed-toe shoes required.
- Signed liability waiver required before riding.
- If a rider chooses to end the ride early, no partial refunds are given.
Florida Helmet Law & Safety Requirements
Under Florida law (known as Nicoleās Law), children under 16 years old must wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet that meets ASTM standards when riding a horse on public roadways, rights-of-way, public equestrian trails, parks, or school sites. Parents, guardians, and commercial renters who knowingly allow a violation face noncriminal fines.You can read the exact legal wording on the Florida Legislature Statutes Site.
Helmet Standards and Rules
- Helmets must meet the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
- The chin strap must be securely fastened.
- Renters and trainers cannot let a child under 16 ride a rented horse unless a compliant helmet is worn or provided.
- Parents and legal guardians cannot knowingly allow their child to ride in public without a helmet.
